Savu cotton shaggy rug 170x240cm organic masala

Savu shaggy rug, made from 100 % organic cotton, has braided fringes at both ends of the rug. The alternating short and long cotton piles gives the rug a relaxed and a distinctive look. The rug is made by table tufting technique. Savu rug in the masala color comes in two sizes - 70x140cm and 170x240cm.

MATERIAL

Organic cotton, grown without any agricultural chemicals, such as fertilizers or pesticides, fits perfectly in crop rotation to increase soil fertility and crop yield. Crop rotation also retains more moisture in soil reducing the need of extra watering.  Organic cotton, like all new natural materials, have their own particular odour which gradually disappears after time and use.

USE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS

An everyday care instruction for cotton rugs is airing and light vacuuming. Heavy treatments might damage the yarns and possible special details, such as tassels or braids. Remove stains as soon as possible for better result. Although cotton rugs are very often are washable, it is very important read the care instructions before washing. It is also important to remember to wash the rug in ample water with low temperature and with mild detergent. Using detergents with bleach is not allowed. A cotton rug always shrinks a little bit during the first wash and might change its structure to some extent. This is a common characteristic to cotton rugs. Please notice that all rugs that are made of natural materials will release some lint in the beginning. However, this will lessen after time and use. We recommend using an anti-slip rug underlay. Never use a rotating brush, such as robot vacuum cleaners, when vaccuming the rug.
